CONNETIX Rectangles transparents, 12 pièces

In the box: 12 clear tiles – split: 1 x 2 (4 pieces) 1 x 3 (4 pieces) 1 x 4 (4 pieces) The say quality can’t be beaten and that’s surely the case with Connectix. To be fair there are really only two quality manufacture of magnetic tiles, Connectix & Magna-Tiles. Connetix seem have “travel far” since the conception in 2019. Connetix tiles are made using non-toxic ABS plastic and the tiles are also sealed and riveted for extra safety but they however have a concave or bevelled design so if you have children that like “brumming cars” they might not be as happy, however having the tiles concave does seem to make them lightly stronger. The magnets are also bigger so you can build higher! The bevelled tiles of Connetix creates refractions of light when they’re in the sun, which is more evident in these clear tiles which don’t appear to be produced by other manufactures. Magnetic tiles are designed to promote children’s social, motor, cognitive, and emotional skills and imaginative play for future social skills and these tiles do that in abundance especially with the light reflection in a sunny room. Having looked at the range of Connetix and comparing this with other like-minded sets Connetix do seems a bit more STEM focused in their current range, however a think it’s fair to say that you will need more than 12 tiles which were included in the pack. Yes the younger children enjoyed playing with the tiles in the pack and made houses and pens with the animals and used the magnetic carts as transport for the animals, but 12 tiles can only take you so far. So, we think it’s fair thing to say is this set is really more of an expansion pack for a starter set or a build on set to expand the set you already have. A high quality magnetic tile building system definitely a 5* product. Lire la suite

This review is for the Connetix Clear Rectangle Pack with 12 pieces. Included are several rectangular shaped magnetic units of different lengths, unfortunately there are no single square shapes included so I would suggest that this set is an expansion set for someone that already has a starter kit. I ordered this for my grandson wholes already have a couple of Connectix sets so this will allow him to build larger projects and over time more and more sets can be added for even more capability. The quality is about the best that I've seen for magnetic building blocks and the pieces grab to each other with ease. Every piece is made from a very strong and safe non toxic plastic and houses strong magnets for a decent and sturdy model to be built. Each of the pieces are quite large so it might be a slight problem for very small hands however my six year old has no such issues using these along with his other sets. As the pieces stack to one another the model becomes pretty solid and can be used for numerous ideas and designs, obviously the more sets you have the more than can be done but even if this was to be a first set it will give the child a brilliant introduction into the world of construction and really help to advance their imagination as well as their dexterity. I ordered this along with a set of large base tiles so now with his existing sets he can really use his learned skills to the maximum. Overall, these are not cheap but if you want quality and safety for your child then you shouldn't compromise and just get the best which I believe is Connetix, I consider this to be an add-on set so if you haven't used Connetix before then maybe purchase a starter set first and then add to it with this set and others. I ordered the pack of clear, oblong pieces. For the size of the box, the product is quite heavy, and is testament to the quality. The pieces contain magnets (which are riveted in for safety). These are very strong (much stronger than a cheaper set we already own), and it’s easy to build a stable and sturdy structure with them. A gorgeous, full-colour booklet of ideas is included. However, most of the projects require a lot of pieces, and it is obvious that this particular set is merely an expansion pack to other, larger sets. My daughter has been able to play with these to a greater degree by adding them to the cheaper set we already own. Compatibility has been fine and this makes it much more fun to play with. At the current price of £49, this is clearly a premium product, and sadly will be out of reach of a lot of families. I could see this brand being present in preschool/foundation settings where quality, durable toys are essential. Due to the price, I have rated this product as 4 stars. Had the price been more reasonable then it would be a solid 5 stars.
